The Queen Charlotte Visitor Centre is currently open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10am - 3pm, and Saturday 9am - 3pm.

 

The Sandspit Visitor Centre – Open Summer months

The Visitor Centre is in the airport. It’s fully staffed and open daily from June 1 to August 31. Marine charts are located in the trip planning area along with a 3-D relief model of the islands. Books, card racks, and a display area provide travel and local information. A gift area features locally made art and souvenirs.

The Visitor Information booth is located on highway 16 at the entrance to town on the right. It’s open seasonally. Year round call Masset Village Office (250) 626-3995.

The Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve and Haida Heritage Site

The office is located at the Haida Heritage Centre at Kaay Llnagaay (Sea Lion Town), 60 Second Beach Road, Skidegate.
The office is open Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Travel to Gwaii Haanas with a guided tour group, or independently. Independent visitors must make travel reservations and attend an orientation session.

Haida Gwaii Museum

Originally opened in 1976, the Haida Gwaii Museum is also located at the old Haida village site of Kaay Llnagaay - which translates as "Sea Lion Town" in Haida. The Museum is dedicated to conserving and making accessible the human and natural history of Haida Gwaii through exhibitions, research and public programs.

The Dixon Entrance Maritime Museum is located in Masset and celebrates Greater Massett’s maritime and settlement history. Open daily during the summer with reduced days during the winter. Admission is $2.

Operated by the Port Clements Historical Society, the museum opened in 1987 to provide the logging, mining and pioneering history of the Queen Charlotte Islands. The museum acquires artifacts, archival records and historical reference material relating to community and industrial development and pioneer life on the Queen Charlotte Islands.

 
Delkatla Nature Centre
The Delkatla Nature Sanctuary Society operates a visitor centre on Trumpeter Drive which is open regularly during the summer months. Nature interpretation, viewing tower, local arts and crafts on display. Getting there: Cross the bridge into Masset and take the first right past the sports field onto Trumpeter Drive. The first building on the right. Admission by donation.
