Emergency Planning

The SQCRD Emergency Program provides the direction and coordination required to respond and recover from major emergencies or disasters in the rural (i.e. electoral) areas of the Regional District. The SQCRD program is in place to assist incident commanders when emergencies exceed their response capabilities, training or available resources.
The SQCRD Emergency Program functions on a 24 hour/7 days per week basis. During business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., information on the program can be obtained by calling (250) 624-2002 or toll free in BC at 1-888-301-2002.
