Planning Commissions

A Board of Directors may establish through bylaw an Advisory Planning Commission (APC) for one or more Electoral Areas with at least 2/3’s of the members of the APC being members of that Electoral Area. The APC acts in an advisory capacity on all matters referred to it by the Board of Directors respecting land use bylaws, permits and official community plans.

The SQCRD has six sub-regional APC’s, created through Bylaw, which provide planning advice to the Board through the area director:
